Fenomenal banda de Brazilian Jazz formada no início da década de 80 no Brasil. O grupo Medusa estreou na gravadora Som da Gente, especializada em Música Instrumental, com este álbum homônimo gravado em 1981. A banda fez diversos shows e aparições não só pelo Brasil, mas também pelo exterior, participando inclusive do Festival de Jazz, em Paris no ano de 1982. Neste álbum, apreciamos o talento individual de cada músico nas composições altamente elaboradas com belíssimos arranjos na trama de estilos que passa pelo Jazz, Funk, Fusion e MPB. Grande presença do guitarrista Heraldo do Monte! A banda ainda gravaria um segundo álbum, Ferrovias, em 1983, para logo em seguida se desfazer. Infelizmente, esses dois trabalhos do grupo, ainda não foram editados em CD. Portanto: RARE VINYL & MASTERPIECE BRAZILIAN JAZZ ALBUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LANÇAMENTO COLETÂNEA CCB VOL. 05
Mais um lançamento com o selo da Gravadora Dallas é uma nova coletânea que chega ao mercado fonográfico no seu volume 5 com dois CD,S. Com certeza uma ideia que deu certo e é fruto da democracia pois temos nessa coletânea uma verdadeira mixórdia onde os ritmos se fundem e se interagem para todos os gostos. A coletânea vai do pop rock ao gospel, e de quebra ainda da uma passadinha pelo Nordeste onde resgata o som da sanfona nordestina. 1.200 Cd,s serão lançados em um único dia 03/07. Band Members......
Formed in 1971 by Sean "Houndog" Corroon, Fred Poke, Jimmy Redhead and Wiffle Smith. Since 1978, the line-up consists of Graham Fenton (Lead Vocalist), Steve Bloomfield (Lead guitar, vocals) (ex The Count Four), Gordon Scott (Rhythm Guitar) (ex The Rocking Pneumonia, The Cruisers), Fred Poke (Bass guitar) (ex Contraband), and Jimmy Redhead (Drums) (ex The Cruisers, Contraband). The original line-up was Wiffle Smith, Steve Bloomfield, Fred Poke, Wild Bob Burgos (drums) and Rusty Lupton on piano and rhythm guitar. Jimmy Redhead left in 1973. Smith left in 1977 and Lupton in 1978 to tour with Chuck Berry, and in came Gordon Scott (ex Cruisers) to cover for Rusty Lupton's departure. Rusty Lupton joined Cadillac to go on tour with Chuck Berry in 1978, after this tour Dick Callan (ex Cadillac) then joined Matchbox on guitar, sax and violin until approximately 1985, writing many of the band's B- sides.
The band's biggest hits include "Rockabilly Rebel" (Steve Bloomfield 1979), "Midnite Dynamos" (Steve Bloomfield 1980) and "Over The Rainbow" (adapted musical song, 1980). Their last Single, "I Want Out" (Brian Hodgson/Ray Peters/Tony Colton 1983) from their album Crossed Line, was produced together with Kirsty MacColl.
